The Landscape! 01/02/2021

Hello everyone! This week we have learnt about the elements of the landscape. The students learnt how to name: the road, mountains, forest, river, bridge, plains, beach, cliffs and valley. We played memory card games to remember the words. Then, the children worked together to create a mural of a landscape made of recycled bottle caps. We finished the unit with a class quiz about landscape vocabulary. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana aprendimos sobre los elementos del paisaje. Los estudiantes aprendieron como nombrar: la carretera, las montañas, el bosque, el rio, el puente, la playa, las planicies, los acantilados y los valles. Jugamos un juego tarjetas de memoria para aprender las palabras. Entonces, los niños trabajaron juntos para crear un mural del paisaje hecho con tapones reciclados. Terminamos la unidad con un concurso sobre el vocabulario del paisaje.

Peace day! 29/01/2021

Hello everyone! Today was peace day. The students followed instructions to create Peace artwork and learnt the words: Joy, Hope, Love and Peace. The students drew a world and cutting out 4 outlines of their hands on different coloured cards. Then, they wrote one word on each hand. 

¡Hola a todos! Hoy fue el día de la Paz. Los niños/as siguieron instrucciones para crear piezas de arte de Paz y aprendieron las palabras: Felicidad, Esperanza, Amor y Paz. Los estudiantes dibujaron un mundo y cortaron 4 siluetas de sus manos en cartulinas de colores diferentes. Entonces, ellos escribieron una palabra en cada mano.

Healthy Eating! 25/01/2021

Hello everyone! This week, with Classes 1A and 1B, we have learnt vocabulary about healthy eating and food. The children coloured in and labelled their own food pyramids.  After that, they all coloured in food pictures and worked as a class to separate them into healthy and unhealthy foods, or foods they eat every day, often and/or occasionally. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana, con las clases de 1A y 1B, aprendimos el vocabulario sobre la comida y comida saludable. Los estudiantes colorearon y etiquetaron su propia pirámide alimenticia. Después de eso, ellos colorearon dibujos de comida y trabajaron como grupo clase para separarlos entre: comida saludable y comida poco saludable o comida que debería comer cada día, con frecuencia y/o ocasionalmente.

Hello everyone! This week with Class 2 we have learnt the vocabulary for different jobs. They played memory card games to remember the words. The students then drew their dream job and learnt the word in English. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana con la clase de 2º aprendimos el vocabulario de varios trabajos. Ellos jugaron a unos juegos de cartas de memoria para recordar las palabras. Después, los niño/as dibujaron el trabajo de sus sueños y aprendemos la palabra en inglés.

The Street! 18/01/2021

Hello everyone! This week we have learnt the vocabulary related to the cities and villages such as: traffic light, street light, bin, road, building, house, shop...  The children created their own colourful city or village pop up pictures and labelled it with their street vocabulary. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana aprendimos el vocabulario relacionado con las ciudades y los pueblos. Los ninos crean su proprio cuidad o pueblo imagen y los etiquetaba con el vocabulario de la carretara!

Introducing ourselves! 11/01/2021

Hello everyone! This week we have learned to introduce ourselves. I gave a presentation introducing myself to the children and told them about the UK and my city, Chester. Then, the children created passports and wrote facts about themselves: their name, age, family, friends and favourite things. They also created bunting as the British flag to hang in their classroom. 

¡Hola a todos! Esta semana hemos aprendido a presentamos. Yo hice una presentación para presentarme a los niños/as y les conté cosas sobre Reino Unido y mi cuidad, Chester. Entonces, los estudiantes crearon pasaportes y escribieron cosas sobre ellos mismos: su nombre, edad, familia, amigos y cosas favoritas. Además, ellos hicieron banderines como la bandera Británica para colgar en su aulas.

Hello, my name is Phoebe and I am the new language assistant. I am 23, and I am from Chester, in the North West of the UK. 

I am working at Luis Braille to improve the children´s spoken English skills and immerse them into the British culture. 

I am really enjoying living in Malaga, learning Spanish, and experiencing Spanish culture!
